Does any one of info on the new Casio PocketPc. Will it be available in the US?? I hope so. I have always loved casio devices.

I'm with you, but from all the information I can understand at the Casio Japan Website, this is going to be a limited production device, (only 50,000 a year), and there are no plans to sell it anywhere but in Japan.

I have a Japanese friend who has relayed to me that Casio was catching a lot of flak from the Japanese consumers that there wasn't a more Japanese oriented model of the Pocket PC for them.

This new 3000 even has most of the menus and general control panel selections, which are applicable, written in Japanese script with only things that are not common to Japan written in English.

Another rub of the situation is Casio can sell this device for more money in Japan than they could by bringing it to the US where they would have to price it to compete with Dell, Viewsonic, and the other lower priced models using the same X processor.

I hope my friend and my assumptions are wrong. We will all just have to wait and see, I guess !!! :rolleyes:

Anyone know if it's been reviewed anywhere yet. Bombadil, Does your friend have any idea if an English version of this device will be released.
