Hi all,

I bought an O2 XDA about a month ago (after my faithful Nokia 7110 hit the
ground once too often - rest her soul). Much of thrill with it, especially
considering it did everything I wanted my old 'phone to do. After taking it
home and plugging it into my PC, I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of
major connectivity issues - I deal with iPaqs at work occassionally and the
only thing more frustrating than the incompetents who use them is the
phenomenal spontaneous dropout effect us support techs all know and love...


....however...


....a few days ago, this perfect little scenario stopped working in a rather
strange way: I can synchronize everything (and by that I mean Avantgo,
Pocket Money, Files, Notes, Tasks, my Shopping List, Backup etc etc etc)
EXCEPT my Inbox. The XDA starts to go through the motions - even looks like
it's going to work - until it just... stops. And not only does it stop, but
the connection to my PC is terminated... if I don't try to sync the Inbox,
it stays connected: for the past eight or so hours without any failure, for
example. The only thing I've done, and about the same time as this all came
crashing down, was install XP SP1. Nothing else on my system has changed.

I've tried uninstalling / reinstalling AS3.6 and soft boots... I don't
really want to do anything more drastic unless I absolutely need to.
Obviously.

Are there known problems with XP SP1 and mobile devices, and if so, are
there solutions? Any help would be fabby.
