I have upgraded my ROM on my Ipaq 3970 to ROM 2.10.10, and then had to do a
hard reset (problem reloading City Time).

I then installed the media Player upgrade and it says it cannot find any
skins. I then uninstalled the media player upgrade, and now I cannot find
Media Player at all.

Do I have to reinstall?

I have a Dell Axim and did the same Media Player upgrade with the same
result. I ended up having to download skins from the Microsoft website &
then it worked fine.

The Media Player upgrade is obsolete - it contains the same version of
Media Player 8.0 that is in EUU2. It's really time Microsoft removed it.

EUU3, which is an integral part of the iPAQ 39xx x.10 ROMs, contains
Media Player 8.5 which is the very latest version.

You've probably just lost the shortcut from the Start Menu to the Media
Player - if you've got a backup handy, look in \Windows\Start Menu for
the Windows Media.lnk file and restore it.

Failing that - try reinstalling the "upgrade", take a copy of the
Windows Media.lnk file, uninstall the "upgrade", then copy back the
Windows Media.lnk file.

Does that help?

Many thanks- I did a hard reset instead. That fixed it.
