I hope someone can help with this problem. I have been syncing my iPAQ 3970
with Outlook 2002 unders Windows 2000 Professional for a long time now.
Everything was working fine today until the following updates installed
through Windows Automatic Update:

810847: February 2002 Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack
1
811630: Critical Update (Windows 2000)
810833: Security Update (Windows 2000)

After that, when I plug the iPAQ into the USB cable, Activesync starts up on
both devices, but the iPAQ hangs after a few seconds and requires a soft
reset before it'll do anything again. I've tried installing Activesync 3.6
and Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 since then in an attempt to fix the problem,
but no dice. I know this looks like a problem with the iPAQ, but it was
working fine before the Win2K updates.
