View Full Version : WM6 - Default Calendar view

I live in the UK and have a Vodafone 1615 - I believe it is an HC phone
re-branded!

Although I've selected the default calendar view to be monthly it insists on
displaying the daily view.

Is this a known problem? Is there a solution - or workaround?

Thanks in anticipation.

I understand that you went into the Calendar options and chose to
start in Month view? This should work.

But it doesn't work for me, neither. I want it to start in daily view,
and in fact it starts in daily view, but immediately switches to monthy
view.

Nichael, something similar happens for me.

Whatever I ask it to open in as the default it only does so briefly, almost
immediately displaying the Daily View.

Change the default view, then close and re-open the Calendar.

Thanks Linley but that didn't work for me!

Any other suggestions?

Hi All,

I have the T-Mobile MDA III (Also known as an HTC TyTN II)

I also have this issue, except i want the calendar to open in Day view. I've
set it as default. Turned the calendar on / off and it opens in day fview for
a sec then flips to monthly view.

The setting is still set for default to be at Day view. This isgetting
really annoying - surely there must be some kind of workaround / fix -
perhaps a registry amendment? Or is it reading a default setting from the
exchange server perhaps?

Anyone?

I eventually, and rather by chance, found a solution to my problem.

I use a Today plug in and it seems there are two varieties of Calendar view-
one is Vodafone's view whilst the other is just shown as Calendar.

I de-selected the Vodafone view (the default) and selected the other and now
whenever I open Calendar it opens in the view I require.

Not sure if that will help you but you're welcome to it.
