I am running MS Outlook 2007 with Business Contacts Manager. I also have
a Pocket PC phone (5.0) which I sync with Outlook.
Currently, my personal contacts in Outlook are synced to the default
contacts in the phone. If I want to look at the BCM contacts in the
phone, I have to go to Start -> Business Contacts.
I would like to have the contacts from Business Contacts Manager be the
default contacts in the phone, so when I go to dial a contact, the list
of contacts are those from BCM, not my personal contacts.
Anyone know how to do this?
Thanks.

First... educate me as BCM is new... is BCM a different application on
the ppc than the default contacts or is it a category under contacts?
If it is a separate app, you can reassign the hardware button currently
used for contacts to any other app.
If it is a contact category, the easiest method I have found is to
select the desired category using multiple presses of the contact
hardware button.

It's a Microsoft extension to desktop Outlook:

It's been around for a while, but previously wasn't supported on
mobile devices; now it is:

I don't have answer for the OP though. I suspect it may not be
possible to change the default contact list, since BCM essentially
runs as a separate application on the PPC. Your suggestion of a
remapped button is probably the best solution (although a third-party
app may be necessary to remap the soft-button).
