View Full Version : Can one disable individual email accounts from being summarized?

On my HTC TyTN II (a WM6 device) I have a couple of email accounts
defined in "Messaging", but mostly only to provide me access, when I do
NOT sync via Outlook & ActiveSync. Normally, unless I am on the road I
never download my email via the GSM/UMTS network for cost reasons.

Now, strange enough these accounts DO poll the server and downlod
messages whenever I have an IP connection (using WiFi or via ActiveSync)
and since I leave my messages on the POP server for a day before
deleting them (just so that I don't loose a msg. in case my computer or
Outlook crashes), these other accesses (which point to the same accounts
that the desktop's Outlook access and synchronizes) regularly download
those message again that I have already read in Outlook on my desktop.
That wouldn't do any further harm, if the "Messaging"-Today plugin would
ignore those accounts and not consider these as "unread messages". But
right now after each synchronization I have a line "<accountname>: <n>
unread messages" on my today screen, even though I already read and
often deleted that message on the desktop. This is annoying, since it
hides the cases, where I REALLY got a new, unread message.

Can't one somehow deactivate these "Messaging" accounts in WM6 (but
leave them defined, not deleting them), so that they do NOT download any
message unless manually told to do so?

Hope, I could make myself clear...

Michael
