You are in luck....

Dell has cut the price to $314.00 and $224.00. See dell.com
for details.

$314.00 is not a bad price, when I got mine the after rebate price waa
$299.00

BTW, my dell rebate is now listed as received and being processed.

Whatever. A fact is a fact. One of these days you too will realize that Dell
is no longer the company they were before. They have gone the ways of Compaq
and Gateway.

Hmmm...I don't have an Axim. I do have a Compaq iPAQ and have no issues
with it (3975). I have and have had multiple Dell machines (Notebooks,
desktops, servers) and have had zero issues with a single one of them. I
must be real lucky.

Although the Dell is unrepairable literally, most PPCs are
unrepairable for practical reasons anyway- by the time the unit is out
of warranty, the repair costs are pretty unreasonable. I had a Casio
E-100 that died 2 or 3 years ago, and Casio had a flat rate repair
rate at the time, IIRC, of about $120. Why would I sink that kind of
money in an old unit? I bought a working E-115 on eBay instead for
not too much more.

The advantage of a Dell's "unrepairable" device is the in-warranty
exchange program. I currently have an Audiovox Maestro, which is back
at Audiovox repair for the third time since January 6th. (They can't
seem to fix the intermittent DC power jack- they send it back, I try
it, it's still broken and I send it right back to them.) If it was an
Axim, I'd have had a replacement the first time and would've gotten on
with my life- instead I'm back using my trusty E-115 and dreading the
Maestro's return! (Don't get me wrong- I love my 'Vox, I've just lost
all faith in their repair techs.)
