wmdc 6.1 has been released and posted at
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/devicecenter.mspx
however, It would be WISE to wait until the release exposes problems...
I strongly recommend AGAINST installing it unless you have a serious
problem which you have not been able to address with the current version.
This is only for Vista users.

I would suggest installing it if you have bought a WindowsMobile 6 device,
as WMDC 6.0 does not support all of the WM6 features. If you are looking for
support of these features I DO suggest you install this update.
Also if you have automatic updates set on Windows Update on Vista, you are
entirely likely to get the update automatically.
Thanks!

thanks... my caution is related to past releases where early adopters
ended up with serious problems, so, if you are at stable 2 or above, sit
tight.
I'm not saying not to install it, I'm saying it would be prudent to wait
a week or so and follow the related posts... I've already seen a couple
of minor problem report posts elsewhere.

Caution is always a good idea!
