I want to install WM2003 but am having a few problems. My Toshiba
Equium laptop has windows vista installed. It recognises the ipaq via
a usb connection. When the upgrade disk asks me to set up the ipaq for
an upgrade via the usb and reconnect to the cradle, the system throws
an error message indicating that I don't have an active usb link. Does
anyone know how to get round this?

since rom update software normally uses activesync as the connecting
pipe, I assume that this is your issue.
no concrete answers other than to find a machine with earlier os and
install using that.

Hi,
This is a known issue. Right now you cannot install rom updates with
Windows Vista. You will need to use a Windows XP machine instead. Also,
please note that you will need ActiveSync installed on the XP machine
however you do not need to setup a partnership.
