I'm looking for a free developer kit on Windows mobile 5.
Is eMbedded Visual Tools 3.0 compatible with WM 2005 ?
Does a more recent kit exist ?

Questions about developing/programming are more likely to get useful
answers if asked in a newsgroup for developers. If you're using a .NET
language, that would likely be
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.compactframework
Otherwise,
microsoft.public.pocketpc.developer
This and similar questions have been asked and answered several times
in microsoft.public.pocketpc.developer, although finding a good search
string for Google would be tough.

Depends what you mean by "compatible". I use eV3 to build apps that
run under WM 5, so I know it can be done. But it does not allow direct
debugging. I use the same source code for "big" Windows and CE (Pocket
PC, etc.), so I do most of my debugging under NT and 2000, and a
little debugging on Pocket PC. Once in a while I need to use message
boxes and ASSERTs to track down a problem with WM 5.
eVT 4 is also free, and about as compatible as eVT 3.
