View Full Version : Deleting messages on PDA does not delete from exchange

We have several PDA/Smartphones in our organization. I believe I have
only noticed this issue with the Treo 700W devices, but we may have
some Motorola Q's with the same problem - not sure yet (all devices
use Verizon, if that matters). Anyway, all these PDA's are setup to
synchronize email directly to the exchange server. Most of the time
when you delete an email on the device it almost immediately deletes
it off the server. However, this often stops working. For some
users, it always works. Others, it sometimes works. And for some it
never works. We have only figured out one way to cure this - delete
the users mailbox from exchange and set it up again. Then it starts
working reliably again. Anybody else figured out a better solution to
this problem?

I am having the same problem. I have 4 Samsung i730 with WM5 syncing with
Exchange 2007 Ent. 3 of the PDAs work as expected and the 4th does not
delete the email from exchange. Have you got this fixed?

I too have this same problem on a Treo 700w. The first couple of weeks
it was working fine then for no reason it stopped syncing Deleted
Items. The crazy thing is the phone was replaced by Verizon and the
new phone worked perfectly for about a day and then stopped syncing
Deleted Items again.
