My iPaq HP 4155 is 2 years old. I replaced the stylus two months ago
with a new (OEM) one, since it was worn and was fitting loose in the slot.
Yesterday, I put a new stylus in, and it fit snug. Now, it's loose in
the slot already and wanting to slide out. I think the problem is not
with the stylus, but rather that the slot itself is worn.

Is there any fix for this?

Problem solved! I took a closer look and realized that the top (black) part
of the stylus that screws on was loose. When I tightened it, the stylus now
fits snugly. The stylus I put in 2 months ago had the same problem. Now both
of them work fine. Live and learn.

Well at least you have a spare now :)
