View Full Version : Cannot open email

Hi

I have a new Cingular 8525 with WM5.. A good machine.. But i have this
problem now...

I can send and receive emails without error... But I cannot open any
emails.. When I attempt to open them I see a quick shadow like its
opening and then nothing. Also when i hit the New email button nothing
happens either...... I have tried soft resets to fix the issue with but
no luck.. I tried to delete the account and re-install but no luck!!!

Text message account and MMS account work fine...

any ideas of how to fix without a hard reset?

Is it possible these emails are all in html format? If so, the headers
are downloaded but the html format can't be read.

Send yourself an email specified as "plain text only" and see if you can
read that.

Another possibility is that you have the account set to get headers only
with 0k of the body... it's the last screen of the account setup...
tools/options/accounts/<acctname>/...

I ended up Hard Resetting the device... I will try if the problem
reappears
