After sync, with the PPC cradled, I launched PHM Task Manager, pressed
"Windows -> Stop All" and sure enough the "Limited or no connectivity"
dialog shows in the notification are, and ActiveSync shows an
exclamation.
Note to self: don't do that.

wouldn't worry about it... the activesync connection is _always_
questionalble, so disconnects are a non issue... don't think I have ever
seen a post in six years concerning problems from an unexpected
disconnect, program shutdown or soft reset when connected.

It does always "come back" doesn't it? So I agree, Bev, even though
it's been six weeks for me, not six years =] I'm glad to be getting my
feet wet now.
