Hi,

I have got am HP4700 and have just had a Fuji Finepix camera to replace my
previous camera which was lost.
the previous camera was SD based so I could copy pictures to my PocketPc.

The Fuji uses XD memory cards, is there anyway I can connect this camera to
my Pocket Pc using the USB interface,
or can I get an adapter to read the XD card through the Sd or Compact flash
interface?

I have had a look on the web and can't spot anything.

cheers

You'll need a convert, you can't directly connect the USB connection on the
hx4700 to another device as the hx4700 is not a host (master) device, but
rather a slave device. Check eBay for a converter.

Thanks for the reply - what exactly is a USb converter.
I have had a look on e-bay and can see cables, cards for PC's etc.

Am I looking for a special lead or a USB host?

Cheers

Sorry that wasn't clear to you. I believe that USB is not an option for you.
The 4700 does not have the correct hardware to begin with. While it's
possible to buy a USB Host adapter for the 4700, I believe it would serve
your purpose better to buy a converter or (adapter) to convert the XD memory
card to a CF card. such as this device;
