Does anyone have any experience of using compact flash type II on the Hp
IPAQ HX4700?
I want to extend the memory but don't want to splash out on an expensive
card if it won't work or there are any issue such as special drivers
required.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hello,
The HX4700 should be able to handle any current Compact Flash card
currently available without any issues. I do not know of any
documented limitations with regards to card size.

You can safely buy any CF II Microdrive / flash ROM card for your device.
Unless they are the well-known "white", "ripped" MuVo microdrives, they will
work just great.
