I posted this earlier but didn't receive any response.
When I am in Contacts (and also Calendar, it turns out) and choose a
name or appointment and expand it, there is no information in the Notes
tab. However, when I use the Find function from the Start menu and look
for that same address or appointment, all the info is in Notes that was
originally in my Handspring. Outlook also shows the info in the Notes
field of the Contacts list.
Anyone have any insights on this and how I might be able to see the
notes when I work directly with the Contacts list or Calendar?
Thanks for any help,
Susan G

This is probably a longshot, but I would delete the partnership with your
Axim (on the PC) manually delete all of your contacts and calendar
entries on the Axim, then reconnect the Axim, create a new partnership
and resync. I suspect your PIM database on the Axim is corrupt in some
way.
It's VERY important you delete the partnership first- if you simply
delete from the Axim and resync, the PC will (correctly) respond by
deleting all of your contacts and calendar entries in Outlook!

Is it possible to do a mass delete on the Axim? I transferred thousands
of pieces of info from my Palm software using PocketCopy 2005. I'm not
ready to delete it all individually until I'm sure that this is the only
solution to my problem!
I looked on the Microsoft website and there was indication that this was
a problem with other software, but I didn't see that Outlook was one of
the culprits. Maybe it is as well. Is there a different (better)
software that I can use on my PC to synchronize to? I like my Axim, but
not having access to my stored info linked to the contacts and calendar
entries is beyond irritating. The Palm products seem much more
user-friendly, though I'm willing to see this through, considering the
investment I've made in the system.

Sure- do a "hard reset"- it complete erases everything and you can start
over.

I'd probably start with just the contacts. Tap and drag (I only have
about 300, though!) through the whole list and then tap-n-hold and select
delete. If my suggestion worked on those, it'll likely work on the
calendar items as well.

Not really- Outlook is it.

Agreed. I've never had your specific problem, but in six years of owning
PPCs, I've had others.

I've never owned a Palm, only a series of Windows CE-based PDAs.
Apparently I prefer my life needlessly complicated! ;-)
