If you live anywhere you can you smell the salt air coming from the east
and south, you might possibly be interested in accessing timely tropical
storm updates as hurricanes approach your coast, possibly using your
windows mobile device.

Makes a lot of sense, since, in addition to always being with you,
instant on, wireless connectivity, internet browsing capabilities...
when the power goes out, a connected mobile device will continue to
offer battery powered information access for days depending on it's
capabilities and your use of it after the lights go out.

Well... getting hurricane information when mobile has been an up and
down experience over the past several years, but, unfortunately, this
year, it's gotten a bit more difficult if you are using a pocketpc or
smartphone despite their increasing internet browsing capabilities.

Long timers here know that accessing weather information is a pet
project for me, but it's getting frustrating this year. For more stormy
thoughts, see http://bevhoward.com/storm/
