Hi group,

Imagine that I wanted to create my own custom Pocket PC. i.e. I have a
list of hardware requirements for the device and want someone to make
it. Does anybody know where I would start with this?!??

Thanks,
Hugh

Clint's post prompted me to think a bit more.

Start by figuring out the priorities for each requirement, and how
much you're willing to pay for each. Then look at available devices
and add-ons to see how close you can come without going custom. Then
decide whether you're willing to pay the difference between the cost
of buying and modifying versus building custom. For info on retail
devices, see Chris De Herrera's site:

For a list of companies that make rugged, industrial devices, see my
21 April 2005 contribution to a thread called " Looking for special
material" in microsoft.public.pocketpc
