Has anyone tried to change the first screen image appearing when starting up
your pocket pc (soft reset).

I want to get rid of iPAQ Pocket PC red/white screen and replace it with my
own design.

Same thought PasiK, but mine with h5450 (HP logo).

Anyone has a solution here? Could it be just as simple as overwriting the
existing bitmap file (if any) ?

The screen has been flash into the ROM, do you think we can do that? Can we
have a different startup screen for windows 2000?

i don't know how to change the startup of our PocketPC...
but as for Win2K, OF COURSE we can... it's just tweaking
some of the DLLs... read the forums at
http://www.littlewhitedog.com and search for
How To Change The Windows 2000 Boot Logo.

I haven't tried the Windows logo trick on Win2k (or higher), but I've been
successful with Win9x. It was just as simple as creating a bitmap file and
rename the file to Logo.sys.

If the logo was somehow transferred out of ROM into RAM, then there must be
a logo file which can be overwritten. There might be also another way by
doing some registry thingy.
