I hit the problem as discribed in Microsoft Knowledge Base
Article - 319711.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;319711

But somehow I could not locate the log files. I am using
XP pro and Window 2000 with activesync 3.5. Is there
anyway to solve the problem?

Thanks,

Jun

The log files are located in your Windows System directories.

The KB Article even says how to locate them:

Let me quote it:

Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft Windows XP
1.. Click Start, click Search, and then click All Files and Folders.
2.. In the All or part of the file name box, type either outstore.log or
wcesmgr.log, and then press ENTER.
3.. Double-click the file.
4.. In the Open With dialog box, click Notepad, make sure that the Always
use this program to open these files check box is not selected, and then
click OK.
5.. Review the files to determine which item is corrupted.
I hope this helps.

I found copies of those logfiles also under my Documents
and Settings folder when searching through my harddisk.
