My ringtone on my XV6700 (WM5) keeps being reset to the default windows
ring. I placed a small mp3 in the rings folder in windows, and set it as my
ring. It randomly resets to the default ring. Nothing I am doing would
cause this to happen, just turning the phone off and using it normally. I
have added this ringtone through the sounds and notifications in settings.
I just tried to add one through selecting a different song through file
explorer and selecting "make ringtone" and I will see if this one sticks.

Make sure that the filename has a space before the extension.
Should be: "MyRingTone .wma"
not: "MyRingTone.wma"

Wow, ok, I'll do that, and see if it fixes it, thanks.
