Simple question I hope.
A USB flashdrive in XP is auto recognized as a flash drive.
A USB Floppy drive is auto regognized as a floppy drive.
Is there a way my PDA on a USB cable can be seen by the OS as just a
Flash card reader or a thumb drive, instead of trying to find active
sync on any PC I
connect it to?
I would love to have a setting I could change on my WM5 device that
would let me decide how a computer sees the device.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

You can try this software:
http://www.softick.com/pocket-pc/cardexport2/

They have a trial version available, I think.

Hi,

There are also freeware alternatives, called WM5Storage. You can find it
at Modaco.

PS: I try to maintain a page with these tools as well (see http://www.modernnomads.info/wiki/index.php?page=Using+your+Windows+Mobile+device+as +a+memory+stick),
but all options are mentioned already.
