Since Pocket Gear does not write the software directly, how are they the ripoff? Sounds like you had a bad experience, can you be more exact? I have bought from both Pocket Gear and Handango with no problems. Once I had to get a refund because the software did not support my device (despite being listed otherwise) and it was no problem at all. Be ineresting to know what prompted the vendetta... Mitch _A 06-21-2006, 03:25 PM Did that make you feel good or do you just feel superior to everyone else in the world? Get over yourself already squid.... Buh-Bye... This is the 2nd time they've pulled this on me. I purchased Pocket TV Browser a while back and within a week the TV guide disabled all listings. The dev refused to give a refund and instead offered me to purchase a $10 yr subscription. Unacceptable but I got over it. This time I purchased DVD to Pocket PC software. I fully met all requirements listed and tested the lame trial version and it worked as advertised. I did an install of the retail version and it will not run on any machine at all and Ive tried with multiple DVDs. It took Makayama less than 5 minutes to respond to my refund request yet after nearly 2 days of fighting this whack code I cant get a peep out of customer service. The website says for this error I must contact support through email. Still not a response to the issue. Pocketgear is fully complicit with this type of unacceptable behavior from developers. If it was Microsoft every liberal ACLU member in the US would be SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER FOR GATES HEAD. Never use a Mastercard Debit card for these transactions. At least with a credit card I could file a complaint and not get charged till resolution. That said I will post on every PPC newsgroup/forum I can find to let the word out what a bunch of con artist they are. Perhaps the biggest con is the use of fake customer feedback for people that either dont exist or are on the payroll or censorship of bad feedback. That last part is interesting, and quite a claim. I take it you tried to contact the people that had posted reviews, and they did not respond? |
