Hi,

Can anyone inlighten me about the differences between pocket Access and
Access 2002?

I want to create a database on Desktop (acc2002) that I could make a pocket
version for It is a technical repair diary. A master will stay in the office
and our Technicians get a Pocket Access format. Technicians (multiple) type
there repairs on the Pocket PC and synchronise their replica when the are in
the office. Theire should also be a scribble field where customers can sign
the repari form with the pen

Is this possible? Can I do it just with Access 2002 and Pocket PC or do I
need to buy additional Database programs like abcdb or Syware Visual CE?

TIA

Jurgen

Microsoft does not have a version of Access for the Pocket PC. So, yes, you
would need to look at a third party database application that can deal with
data from Access 2002 on the desktop.

Syware's Visual CE is a good database app. There are a number (probably a
half-dozen or more) 3rd party database apps that can also deal with Access
data.

Try sprintdb it is wonderful! It lets you create forms, use relationships,
and syncs with Access.
