ipaq 1930, Windows CE 4.20

Occasionally, text disappears whenever I select <enter> or pull down a
menu in Pocket Word. I usually exit and rerun the program finding that
all the text is intact.

Ideas?

I suspect that your device is running low on memory which is why the text is
disappearing from view. You may want to adjust the memory to make more
Program Memory available (Start>Settings>System>Memory) and see if that
clears the issue.
