I switched from a Treo 650 to a PPC (xv6600) about 6 months ago. Happy I
made the choice but Palm has some features that I wish my PPC had. For
instance, I liked Palm's asking if I wanted to add an entry for ingoing and
outgoing calls not already in the address book. Also liked that I could call
phone numbers on webpages with a tap. Last, I liked that missed calls and VM
notifications were more prominent on the screen. Are these features
available for/on PPC?
Any other Palm features that you PPC converts would like to see on PPC?
TIA.

Hotsync! Ultrasoft Money, DateBK for starters.

You could probably purchase 3rd party apps to easily replace your Ultrasoft
Money and DateBK ... and Active Sync is free and very similar to HotSync.
I have friends who have Palm devices and I find them confusing to use ...
but I started with PPC. I guess most of us just like what we know best and
are somewhat change resistant.
P.S. - I switched from a PPC to a converged device the Treo 700w which I
like other than it being so THICK. I ordered a Moto Q for my boss which
I'll get to play with next week. I'll let you know if I find a solution for
your other issues "I liked Palm's asking if I wanted to add an entry for
ingoing and outgoing calls not already in the address book. Also liked that
I could call phone numbers on webpages with a tap. Last, I liked that missed
calls and VM

them on my Treo.

No, re Ultrasoft, nothing as near as good (IMHO). DateBK similarly. I
use Pocket Informant, but it's no where as lean as DateBK, or as
intuitively useful. Active Sync may be free, but so is Hotsync, so
what's your point here? I offer a view that Hotsync is far more
desirable in the stability stakes! Anyway, enough, it's off the point.
The poster asked what we missed from Palm days, hence my original
answer.
