If you do not have a PPC phone edition it is very doubtful that the MP10 on
your device has the MP4 codec. In which case you might be better off with
getting another player for your device, such as TCPMP.

I think he's saying desktop WMP10 can't play it. In which case the
easiest answer is to install VLC from www.videolan.org/vlc, and
accociate it with mp4 files.

You are quite correct, Tony. TCPMP for Windows might be of help, along with
the excellent VLAN/VLC.
( IMHO VLC makes a wonderful streaming swiss army knife, worthwhile to check
out for anyone having the need.)

So, Do two bad posts cancel each other out? Apparently not...
Let me rephrase my last post:
I misread the OP and answered incorrectly the first time. Tony A., you are
correct in that the OP was wanting to move it from the PPC to the Pocket PC.
And VLC is, IMHO, an excellent suggestion.

Cheers guys. I find it hard to believe a video created on a Microsoft pocket
pc 2005 (media payer 10) cannot be played on desktop (media player 10).
I thought the desktop goes of and gets the codec needed.

Heh, the mind boggles don't it? The manufacturer of your device
provides the codec used to encode video on your PPC, not Microsoft.
However you'd think either Microsoft or the device manufacturer would
see fit to provide the necessary decoders to play the stuff back on
the desktop.
Since Microsoft is too stingy to pony up for a DVD decoder license to
include with WMP, maybe there is some licensing cost involved with mp4
too, although I didn't think so.
As to the device manufactuers (or rather the telcos), they're probably
quite happy if you have to use only your mobile device to view and
share your videos.
