Upgraded my 3955 to EUU3 and found that per Pocket Hack Master, the XSCALE
processor had been reduced in speed to 298.50 MHz in turbo mode and 199.00
MHz in run mode. Emailed HP/Compaq and received the following reply:
>>This seems to be a unique issue. Our engineers will resolve the issue at
the earliest. We would suggest that you reflash the ROM image.
>>For further assistance, please call 1-800-652-6672, options 3, 1 (enter 10
digit phone number), 2. If you are a first time caller, your phone number
won't be registered in the database. >>You will be need to enter your phone
number twice and then wait for the routing center to put you through to a
Technical Support Specialist.
I re-flashed with the backup ROM image that was made during the upgrade and
I was back to 398.00 MHz in turbo mode and 199.00 MHz in run mode. Don't
know when they might have a fix for this or if it is just indicating the
wrong speed, but I take no chances and will use ROM 1.00 until it is fixed

No electrons were harmed during the making and/or sending of this email,
although several were very amused.
