My reading of the Jornada and CompactModem manuals
indicates the Jornada should recognize the modem when
inserted. I get a message that there is an unrecognized
card in the slot. I just bought the modem at auction.
Has anyone been successful putting these together? Is the
modem broke or is there something I don't understand?

I have a Pretec 56K CF card. It works with every PPC 2000 and 2002 device I
have tried it with.
