I have an Ipaq 3630 and have installed the program called "Dashboard" I do not use it so I tried to remove the program.
However I get a notice saying it will not delete the program and says to shut down all other programs and try again.
I did that but it still shows up on my Ipaq but I can not access it because most of the program files are gone. Anyone have any ideas on hoe to get it completely out of my Ipaq ?

Thanks in advance!

Hello, Kim-

We have seen this problem in our Application Compatibility testing before. Typically the best approach to this is to make sure the Today screen plug-in is not selected to be displayed on the Today screen when you attempt to uninstall it. What I usually do to make sure such a plug-in will be uninstalled correctly is the following:

1- Tap 'Settings' from the 'Start' menu
2- Tap the 'Today' icon
3- Tap on the 'Items' tab near the bottom of the screen
4- Tap on the Today screen plug-in you wish to uninstall to de-select it (the checkbox next to item should then be empty)
5- Tap 'OK'
6- Warm-boot the device (do NOT hard-reset/cold-boot the device, we just want to make sure that the application is no longer running and no files are in use)

After this, you should be able to uninstall withouth any problems

However, you have already started to uninstall and encountered an issue. Try re-installing the application (this will re-copy all the needed files to the device) and then follow the steps I've listed above prior to uninstallation. Hopefully this will work for you.

If that fails, note the file name that is causing the problems. Soft
reset, find that file in File Explorer and rename it. Soft reset again
and rerun the uninstaller. Then manually delete the renamed file.
