Hi,

I have been trying to get 10 intermec 750's up and running for barcode
reading data capture in our organisation. They were original purchased
with PocketPC2002 installed and most were made in 2003 and have the
older 802.11b Wifi CF-Card and the NETWLAN1 driver. I upgraded these to
POcketPC2003 using Intermecs' 32mb ROM upgrade package on an SD Card
and re-flashing the units as instructed.

Since the upgrade settings made in the "Wireless Networks" applet found
in Start>Settings>System tab, no longer work and no connection to the
wireless network can be established at all. I have checked the settings
a million times and they are correct, I have verified these, as a newer
Intermec 750 model (manufactured 2005) has a 802.11b PRISM Wireless
CF-Card and PRISM driver and this has no problem connecting to the
wireless network with the same settings using the same applet.

So far the only way to get the earlier models to connect is to tick the
"Enable Microsoft's Wireless Zero Config" check box and accept the
prompt for a warm boot, once the os is back up it immediately detects
the wireless network, prompts for the WEP key and connects succesfully.
That's fine but regflush doesn't seem to save these settings and they
have to be made all over again after battery failure or cold boot.

Has anyone in this group got experience of upgrading Intermec 750's
from PPC2002 to 2003 ? and have you any tips for getting the wireless
to work and keep those settings after cold-boot ?
