Hi

I called a local PDA supplier about my question about if the following
bluetooth gps is ok to use with an Ipaq h6365

HOLUX GPSlim236 Wireless Bluetooth GPS Receiver.

and they told me that the processor in the 6365 may not be strong enought to
handle the gps in any devices. Could someone confirm this is the case or is
it just one person's opinion?

Doug

I had an 6315 (same device, different carrier) for about a year and used my
Pharos BT GPS receiver with it quite a few times without a problem. Sounds
like this is one person's opinion - I'm not sure of any reason that the TI
OMAP processor in the 63xx series would be unable to handle the GPS.

Jon.

So, let me get this straight - the local PDA supplier was possibly hinting
about supplying you with a new PDA?

GPS is one of the most light-weight uses of bluetooth I can think of. I can
see a bit of an issue if you are trying to run A2DP, GPS and downloading on
WIFI at the same time on an older machine, but GPS and something else should
be fine.

It's been a _long_ time since any computer was so inadequate it couldn't
handle 4800 baud serial communications.

As xTenn so aptly responded... "rubbish!"
