Can anyone help?
My iPAQ has been synchronising fine since I set it up, but today it's
decided that my device is a "guest' device and so doesn't synch. I have
changed nothing. During the process of trying to figure out what's wrong, I
have upgraded to v4.1 (from v3.7) but the result is the same.
Any ideas?
Thank you.

Hi,
If you have installed ActiveSync 4.1 and then attempt to revert to an older
version it might cause a Guest connection. Refer -
http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/raj/AS40Guest.html
However, if even after upgrade it is connecting as Guest, then try
registering the MSXML.DLL and MSXML3.DLL. To register these dlls, do the
following:
On your computer, click Start, Run and type:
regsvr32 msxml.dll
You should receive a message stating that the registratoin succeeded.
Repeat the step and register the other dll as well. Type -
regsvr32 msxml3.dll
Restart the computer, perform a soft reset and attempt to synchronize.
