I have an Ipaq 2210,running windows mobile 2003 version 4.20.0 (build14053).
I use it with tomtom 5 navigator.It has worked fine for the last 18
months.Recently the pda switches itself off at random intervals.It may be
anything between 2 mins to 30 mins between each swith off.i press the power
button,and it comes back on, still running the sat nav software.This isn`t
good as it usually goes off at a crucial moment,IE in the town centre.All
the power options to go in to standby etc are deselected.I am baffled.

Check that the battery cover is correctly located and the pin on the top
edge is properly depressing the battery cutoff button. I had a similar
problem on mine and eventually it would not turn on at all. I had to put a
dob of epoxy on the pin to make it operate the switch correctly.
