What I need: fonts to put on my pocket pc (Dell Axim X30 BT) that
resemble the palm system fonts, or are ripped from them. I found the
alpha package however those are not good for high res screens and are
not compatible. I was thinking is there anything lke TrueType Font that
mimics palms fonts, or maybe they mimic a font of some sort?
I'm doing all this because personally I find the palm fonts have better
readibility than the tahoma def. on Win 2003SE
Thanks

You can probably load pretty much any TTF into the PPC from your
desktop PC windows fonts folder. Identifying a font is harder but
there are at least 2 sites I know of that can help on that :

http://www.identifont.com/

http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/

You should be able to take a screenshot or make an image containing
the font (as clean an image as possible) then load it for
identification.

You might find a similar font which will work for you, or the exact
font and use (Psion) might be identified. Either way, purchasing the
font from (wherever) and loading it into windows should let you try it
out. Once you're satisfied, you should be able to copy it to the
device, and I think it's possible to modify registry settings to tell
the device to use the new font - Beverley probably knows how to do
that.
