Your WLAN needs updating. Mine runs the following:
Hardware revision 6.3
Driver 4.3.5.414
Firmware 1.103.5.164
module release date 02/09/05(that is probably an American date BTW.

How are you connecting when running the two updates? By Wi-Fi or by USB? Did
you do a soft reset before trying to update? Have you pulled the battery for
ten seconds? Have you soft reset after installing the update?
