I have a new Treo 700w. I have transferred an MP3 to the unit. I have
added my MP3 as a sound through Settings->Sounds and
Notifications->Mange Tab.

Shows up just fine as an MP3 file.

When I go to select the ringtone, the file is not there.

I even tried renaming the extension to .mid File shows up but of course
won't play.

Can I use MP3's natively as ringtones or do I require a 3rd party
software for the 700w?

Ideas?

I used MP3 as ring tones BUT I put it in the user contact not as a general
ringtone.. Maybe that is the difference. Will try as general tonight.

I got it to work. I guess I wasn't patient enough :P
