I have set up my new smartphone with a 512card but despite setting it up
in activesync mediaplayer is not listing it as a possible sync item,
anyone know how to get it working ?

David,

In ActiveSync 4.1, go to Tools>Options and choose Media. This will enable
the feature. You will then need to create a "partnership" between your
device and WMP10 by creating a syncing playlist.

Keep in mind that this feature has not been the most robust one of them all.
Personally I've never gotten this to work - I just use the trust ole' card
reader.

Regards,

To expand on Clinton's suggestion, wmp supports syncing content directly
to a memory card using a card reader attached to the wmp computer.

yes, I am heading that way - the problem with the imate sp5 is you have
to take the phone apart to get access :(

There's also an app which uses the usb connection to let the device
emulate a memory key... might be an option.

Softick Card Export lets the usb connection see the storage card as if it
were a memory key. So far as I know there isn't a program to let the device
contents be seen that way.
