I am a Land Surveyor and have recently purchased a
Trimble ACU handheld survey controller. It runs Windows
CE.net. I attach the unit to my surveying instrument and
collect mapping data. I then connect it to my HP
Pavilion via USB and use activesync to download the
survey data and import it into AutoCAD. This works fine,
however the handheld has Pocket Internet Explorer. I
would like to be able to connect the handheld to the PC
and access email/internet. I can find no instructions on
how to accomplish this and I have not succeeded at the
trial & error approach. Anyone know how I can do it?
Thanks.

If the device is based on CE.NET, then the suite of applications
depends on the vendor. You will need to contact Trimble for support.

Windows CE programs will not work on Pocket PC OS unless you feel like
changing the file structure of your PPC.

Which if you do that, dont expect the manufacturer to support any issues
with it.
