I just received my x51v today and am already disappointed with IE. So, I
installed the Thunderhawk trial.
Two problems.
1) It doesn't 'detect a connection', but I've got a strong wifi connection
and can browse
2) the "x" to close box doesn't display. My guess is that it can't handle
640x480.
Any suggestions? Other browsers?
Sure wish I could just install Firefox.

NetFront is another one I've heard of, but not tried. You've seen
www.aximsite.com, right? The forums there are very useful, especially when
dealing with one of the few VGA type units available.

Yes, sure did. I think I've worked through the issues I posted here -- just
a little different than IE. Not sure it is a big improvement -- it doesn't
work properly with a local webserver, which is the whole point of the
project.

The Thunderhawk should be one of the better browsers, at the moment, but if
it doesn't work on your device then try out the Netfront, it also have the
best support for java.
As mentioned, the Opera for PPC is due some time soon, and there is work in
progres on Mozilla for WM, called Minimo, but it is still very beta to say
the least. Finaly there is a adon for PIE, called PIE Plus, that improves
the functionallity quite a lot.
