Yes, that works. I do not understand why ip address does not work? I
could not even ping the hostname from my pocket pc. Anybody can give me
an explanation?

Because MS designed it that way ;-)

I don't have a clue as to why they did so.

I can connect using IP using Pocket Putty, must just be the Explorer
rather than the OS.
