View Full Version : Copy/Past in SMS editor

Hello
Is there any way of copying and Pasting text to/from the SMS editor? I
can't find how and this would really help my life...
Alternatively - but less efficient -, it would be acceptable being able to
send a document as an SMS. I have seen that there are some applications in
the market that say they do this, namely notes managers, but none seems to
be compatible with my Qtek9100/WM5(Portuguese). Besides, one of them
(Orneta Notepad) inserted an adware when I installed itds trial version
(further detected and removed by Microsoft Antispyware), which is reason
enough not to want to buy it any longer...
Any bright ideas around? Thanks!

You should be able to paste anywhere you can enter text... if "paste" is
not on a Tap/Hold, try typing a <ctrl-V> from the onscreen keyboard.

Same is true for any text you can mark... if "copy" is not an option,
check the menus (for example in pie) or tap <ctrl-C> from the onscreen
keyboard.

Thanks Howard, I just checked it and it does work, what a relief! :-)
Anyway... Why didn't Microsoft put the usual editing (cut/copy/paste) menus
on the SMS editor?

Best regards
Pedro

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by sms editor, but it is both on the
menu when composing sms messages in inbox as well as on tap/hold
(something every ppc user should get used to)

If things are not immediately visible, it's primarily because of screen
space limits.
