No freeware that I am aware of, I use Cadenza by CommonTime
www.commontime.com, I run it as a service on my desktop and can
remotely sync my PDA with Notes.

I use XTND Connect PC. Cost about 60 bucks. Synce with notes mail,
address book, calendar etc. I like it. Would be nice to find
something that would sync and share databases on notes. Probably would
take a full fledged conversion of notes to a pocket pc format.

Another enthusiastic vote for Cadenza mNotes. If you decide to spend
the bucks (about $75, in this case), don't waste your money on
anything else. mNotes is THAT much better than the competition.

Cadenza mNotes is the only product that uses Notes APIs to provide
superior support for more of Note's capabilities. As such, it
supports invitations (create, accept, decline, delegate), resources,
rooms, free time, and more. It also correctly manages recurring
appointments in Notes, and is the only Pocket PC product to do so.

It does all this on the Pocket PC side using the familiar Pocket
Outlook applications, or any of the advanced PIM replacements, such as
Pocket Informant and Agenda Fusion.

And mNotes is also available for both Pocket PC and Palm platforms.
It's really the closest thing to a portable version of Notes that's
available. Very highly recommended.
