Your porblem maybe an USB Connection Problem. Not sure since you really did

Thanx, I'll check it out! Also FYI; a "soft" reset of the Axim seemed to
clear up the problem this time. . .

You can also try re-installing IE 6.0 or installing SP1 for IE 6.0 on your
desktop. This worked for me when I had this problem with my iPAQ.
