New tool eases entry of data into Pocket Outlook applications
CHICAGO, Illinois (January 7, 2003) – A sales professional listens to his voicemail and jots down a new lead’s name, phone number, e-mail address and message. With a few taps, myWorkspace exports that information to the user’s Contacts database, add a reminder to follow up to his Tasks list, schedule an appointment and send a confirmation e-mail.
neohand, inc., a leading developer of productivity and lifestyle solutions for mobile devices, has released myWorkspace, a time-saving way to enter contact, appointment and task information onto Pocket PC handhelds.
The main engine of myWorkspace is its EZExportTM function, an automated process to add information easily and seamlessly to one or more internal databases. EZExport is executed from the startup form. There, the user enters basic information, such as a person’s name, phone number, e-mail address, when they contacted the user and what it was regarding. Then, the user selects any of four checkboxes that determine how the EZExport function processes that information. These options include the Tasks, Calendar and Contacts Pocket Outlook databases, as well as the processing of a confirmation e-mail.
In addition, myWorkspace includes the new EZText technology that allows users to create and edit templates to accelerate entering and formatting of data into the Pocket Outlook databases.
“myWorkspace makes it even easier to add data to the most frequently used Pocket Outlook applications,” says David Horwich, president and CEO of neohand, inc. “Both power and casual users will save minutes per day using myWorkspace’s EZExport and EZText technologies.”
myWorkspaceTM is priced at $24.95. The product is available through the neohand store at neohand.com/shop and through Handango, the leading destination for handheld software and accessories. The application runs on any Pocket PC-powered device running Microsoft’s Pocket PC version 2002 operating system. myWorkspace requires 497 kb of available RAM.
