Company president H.T. Cho said that to diversify operating risk, it is necessary to expand its client base and avoid depending heavily on HP’s iPAQ orders. It is estimated that HTC will ship 1.5 million iPAQ Pocket PCs this year, making up 75% of the company’s full-year handheld device shipments.
Shipments of the iPAQ and HTC’s revenue performance have a close cause-and-effect relationship.
