They guys over at mydesktophelp.com have written a application that allows you to close activesync and stop it from starting up when you reboot. When you need to use it just start it using the desktop icon. This is a very useful application for people who own both Palm and PocketPC devices as it was not possible to synchronize a Palm when active sync was running. Best of all it’s freeware.
